Safeguarding Policy

Our commitment to the safety and welfare of all those who engage with the Foundation.

1. Policy Statement

The Rothschild Foundation is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all individuals who come into contact with our work. We have a zero-tolerance approach to abuse and exploitation. This policy applies to all Trustees, staff, and partners of the Foundation.

2. Principles

We are guided by the following principles:

  • Protection: The welfare of children and vulnerable adults is paramount.
  • Prevention: We will take all reasonable steps to prevent harm from occurring.
  • Accountability: All staff and partners are accountable for their behavior and for reporting concerns.

3. Reporting Concerns

If you have a safeguarding concern regarding any activity funded or managed by The Rothschild Foundation, you must report it immediately.

Reports should be directed to our Designated Safeguarding Lead at safeguarding@therothschildfoundation.co.uk. All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality and investigated according to our internal procedures.

4. Partner Expectations

We expect all grant recipients and partners to have their own robust safeguarding policies in place. We reserve the right to withhold or withdraw funding if a partner fails to meet our safeguarding standards.

5. Whistleblowing

We encourage a culture of openness. Individuals raising genuine concerns about malpractice will be protected from victimization or harassment.
